Lake County Real Estate - March Update
March 14th, 2007 6:45 PM

Hi,

Here is my first posting to my blog. It's my March update about the current real estate market in Lake County. I'll be adding more to it often so check back when you can.

It wasn’t very long ago that buyers were paying the full asking price (and more!) for homes here because they feared that prices would go higher in the following weeks and months to come.

Those days are past - at least temporarily. If you are thinking about buying a home, now is a great time to do it. Prices have not been this good for quite some time. There are a large number of homes on the market right now which has created a strong buyers market. It is the old law of supply and demand, having too many homes on the market at the same time causes more competition and temporarily lowers prices. Today’s market has created the best opportunity in years for buyers to negotiate excellent prices for homes in Lake County.

I would be happy to take you on a tour of the area. I would be even happier to help you negotiate the best possible price once you find the home you want. Nothing satisfies me more as a realtor than negotiating a great deal for my clients. Let’s get together soon before the market moves up again.

Please call or e-mail me anytime if you have questions about Lake County real estate. If you don’t already receive them, and would like me to send you property listings, just give me the price range, number of bedrooms, baths, and general location, I’ll take care of the rest. Thank you for reading my March update. I hope to see you soon in beautiful Lake County.

Gone Fishin'!
March 31st, 2007 11:20 AM
The Golden State Shootout national bass tournament is here in Lakeport this weekend. Clear Lake is listed by ESPN as one of the top two bass fishing lakes in the United States. The top bass fisherman in the world are here and so is the beautiful springtime weather. It's a great time to check out Lake County for yourself. See why we call it "California's best kept secret". The cleanest air in California and only 2 - 2.5 hours drive from San Francisco and Sacramento. Did I mention it's also Califonia's original wine country? That's all for today, I'm getting out of the office - gone fishin'!

Interest Rates
March 22nd, 2007 9:20 AM
The Fed has not raised interest rates since June of 2006. They are currently worried about inflation which is showing some signs of rising. If inflation starts to rise, the Fed may begin to raise today's historically low interest rates to try to control it. Investing in real estate at today's low interest rates and moderating prices could be an historically good decision on your part. Thanks for reading today and be sure to respond with your comments or questions. Let's make this blog a conversation.
